The Kentucky Foundation for Women’s mission is to promote positive social change by supporting varied feminist expression in the arts. When women and girls advance, so does Kentucky. Their vision is a transformed society where all people are free to embrace their full potential, where artmaking and creativity are central to individual and community lives, and where the diversity and complexity of our stories are valued and celebrated.

The Kentucky Foundation for Women promotes feminist art and social justice by awarding grants to individual artists and organizations, providing time and space for artists and activists at its retreat center, and by sharing information and building alliances among female artists in the community.
