Cities for CEDAW History and Futures Project

Cities for CEDAW aims to protect the human rights of women and girls by promoting the adoption of CEDAW at the local level.

This research and action project will include organizing data and resources, conducting interviews, and employing interdisciplinary approaches. End products will include a timeline, mapping, and audio-visuals that can inform new campaigns, add to training handbook updates, and advocacy events.

These products will be organized on a website and contribute to development of trainings and advocacy materials. It is proposed that the project will contribute to the new Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum (scheduled to open 2033). In addition to research, Cities for CEDAW History and Futures Project will include advocacy outreach.
