Just 48 Hours Left Until Women Funded 2021!

Your WFN global conference is just 48 hours away. The conference sessions, created and selected by you, will feature several key conversations between funders, sponsors, and allies, highlighting concrete actions that we can all take to accelerate gender equity in our own institutions, communities, and countries.

Jennifer Okwudili from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Linda Weisert from Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) will discuss how philanthropy is shifting to effectively meet this pivotal movement. Rise Up Leader Alicia Tauro will share her powerful work to advocate for women and girls in India, highlighting how funders can effectively resource country-based leaders who are leading change.

Learn how Funders for Justice and APPI Women Lead thought-leaders grapple with how to organize women of color within a system that encourages them to utilize police force and incarceration against their families and neighborhoods – while also meaningfully participating in Black, Brown, and immigrant-rights movements where gender-based violence is often silenced and subjugated to so-called racial unity.

In addition, C. Nicole Mason, Ph.D., President and CEO of the Institute for Women’s Policy Research (IWPR), will join me in conversation that will include an exclusive announcement. And right now, in partnership with the Acorn Project, all registrants can pre-screen the film Through the Night, from director Loira Limbal. Loria will also be joining us for an intimate conversation during the conference alongside experts in childcare infrastructure and policy development from the Iowa Women’s Foundation and the Women’s Foundation of Southern Arizona. Also, for the first time, we’re providing live Spanish and French translations for all plenary sessions.

You can find the full conference program here.

All this useful and exciting content would not be possible if it were not for the generous support of our sponsors and donors like you. As you may know, the WFN conference is not a fundraiser. It is a member-led event held only every other year. As such, it is always highly anticipated, deeply engaging with useful information, and a place where new relationships and collaborations are born. Thanks to your generous contributions we’ve been able to offer a discounted or free ticket to everyone who needed it.

Thank you for joining us and thank you for all you do.

In Solidarity,
