The New Hampshire Women’s Foundation (NHWF) is the leading organization for women and girls in New Hampshire. In 2014, five women’s organizations, with more than 100 years of collective work in New Hampshire, merged to create the New Hampshire Women’s Foundation — a unified voice of change for the women and girls of our communities. These organizations included the New Hampshire Commission on the Status of Women, the New Hampshire Women’s Policy Institute, the New Hampshire Women’s Lobby, the New Hampshire Women’s Initiative and the Women’s Fund of New Hampshire.

The unique strengths and talents of these separate organizations are reflected in the organization’s work, bringing New Hampshire an unprecedented body of knowledge, and a new iteration of the gender justice movement in the Granite State. From their transformative work in philanthropy to their deep knowledge of research, policy and advocacy, the legacy of the organizations form the foundation, and fuels the forward motion, of who they are today: a single foundation and unified voice dedicated to the advancement of gender equality and opportunity for the women and girls of New Hampshire.
