Frontline Women’s Fund

Frontline Women’s Fund (formerly Donor Direct Action) was founded in 2011 by Jessica Neuwirth with co-convenors Gloria Steinem and former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay. Since its inception, Frontline Women’s Fund has regranted over US $13 million to frontline women’s rights organizations around the world.

Frontline Women’s Fund’s leadership includes prominent women’s rights activists with extensive experience in global advocacy for women’s rights. They come with decades of engagement in the global women’s movement both on the front lines and internationally. In 2015, Frontline Women’s Fund/Donor Direct Action Fund was integrated into the Sisterhood Is Global Institute, a feminist think-tank founded by Robin Morgan and Simone de Beauvoir in 1984.
