Sarah is the Executive Director of NewMexicoWomen.Org (NMW.O), a statewide women’s fund focused on gender justice and healing. Sarah has over twenty years of experience working for social and gender justice in the non-profit and philanthropic sectors. Her early career includes youth organizing and community development. She worked as a non-native ally both nationally and internationally with youth-led indigenous rights organizations. In addition to community work, Sarah has extensive experience with facilitation, strategic planning, and organizational development. She believes that the power of community generates lasting structural and systemic change, and is committed to centering community voices in all of NMW.O’s work. She holds an MA in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, and a BA in Women’s Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
