Women of all ages, in more than 7,000 congregational and special units in the United States and the Caribbean, carry out the mission of Women of the ELCA: mobilizing women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ.
Women of the ELCA offers local and global programs, resources, and events that support women and girls at all stages of their Christian lives. Its diverse community is committed to helping women and girls grow spiritually and emotionally, helping them find their place in the world as Christian women. Lutheran women and girls affirm each others gifts, support one another in their callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.

Grantmaking: Our grants program supports not-for-profit organizations, both domestic and international, that support healing and wholeness for women of all ages through the affirmation and advancement of women's emotional, physical, and spiritual health. In our 20+ years, we have made grants in excess of $3 million dollars.
Anti-racism: Our organization is committed to developing an anti-racist identity, and anti-racism programming is a priority. Today's Dream: Tomorrow's Reality is our network of anti-racism educators that offer workshops throughout the country.
Health initiative: Raising Up Healthy Women and Girls, our health initiative, was launched in 2005 to promote women's complete and total health: physical, spiritual, and emotional. The initiative has a particular emphasis on heart health.
Trafficking: We address commercial sexual exploitation by providing education, resources, and networking opportunities.

Program provides a variety of services to homeless and low income women that foster growth and wholeness in order to help them move towards stability.
Americans Overseas Domestic Violence Crisis Center
Volunteer Advocacy Training, $2,600
The purpose of this project is to provide four volunteer trainings on an annual bases to offer 24/7 crisis support and advocacy to overseas Americans experiencing domestic violence.
Butte Emergency Food Bank
Purchase of six-month supply of diapers for distribution to the needy, $2,000
This project will purchase an inventory of diapers of various sizes to distribute to the needy who come for food at this agency, and to other agencies in the community, e.g., SafeSpace, Community Health.

Stoll House provides transitional housing paired with supportive services for women who are homeless single-parents often fleeing from domestic abuse-the program is the only transitional shelter in the Conejo

This project offers women and girls with developmental disabilites weekly activities that promote healthy lifestyles especially in terms of nutrition and physical activity, as well as socialization and life skills training.
Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest
Women's Empowerment Program, $2,000
This project provides enhanced resettlement services to refugee women. The Women's Empowerment Program (WEP) serves refugee women living in the Phoenix area who have been referred by LSS-SW case managers. The program provides supplemental services that are not offered through LSS-SW case management.

Interfaith Health Services, through the Latinas in Action program, has begun a micro business with the participants. It started with the donation of twelve designer wedding dresses and turned it into a small business.

AHEAD Energy and Kagando Rural Development Center
Eliminating the killer in the kitchen, $1,000
Efficient cookstoves that use clean fuels can save the lives of millions of women and children in poor nations. This project will install 90 such cookstoves at Kagando Hospital in Kasese, Uganda.
