Valentine Foundation

The Valentine Foundation is a Philadelphia area grantmaking organization that provides charitable funds to organizations or programs which empower women and girls. Our grantmaking recognizes and develops the full potential of women and girls and works to change established attitudes that discourage women and girls from recognizing that potential. The Valentine Foundation trustees commit a minimum of half of their grants to programs for girls and the balance to programs for women. The programs for women must include advocacy for social change. As a grantmaking organization, The Valentine Foundation's emphasis is on programs for women and girls that effect fundamental social change — to change attitudes, policies, or social patterns.
