Over the years, the Urgent Action Fund (UAF) family has been able to support initiatives and innovations of local women activists, peace-builders, and human rights defenders worldwide. Our work continues to be informed by the incomparable wealth of knowledge and experiences within global women's movements. As we continue to seek ways to better serve transnational feminism, we reaffirm the necessity-and our commitment-to seed and support the transfer of financial resources and decision-making to women in the Global South/East.

UAF-Latin America continues to draw upon the collective wisdom gained in Rapid Response Grant-Making over the years to support women human rights activists. Built upon the strengths of UAF-Africa's Transitional Justice program, and UAF's Sustaining Activism research, publications and advocacy, UAF- Latin America will develop and introduce a Restorative Justice initiative addressing the particular concerns in the Latin American context.

The network of independent and autonomous UAF Sister Funds will expand support to the global network of women activists and continue to prioritize the security and well-being of women human rights defenders, ensuring that gains made are protected.
