The Chester County Fund for Women and Girls was established in 1996 as a grantmaking and education fund to support nonprofit organizations that address the needs of women and girls in the county.
The Fund is dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls and all members of the Chester County community through grants and education. The Fund serves as a catalyst to enable women and girls to make decisions which effect positive change in their lives and those of other community members.
The Fund for Women and Girls provides the following programs:
- an annual “Girls Make a Difference” leadership conference for high school Chester County girls;
- an annual “Making a Difference” corporate education luncheon;
- a “Voices” educational series focusing on the issues women and girls face in Chester County;
- an annual “By Girls, For Girls” girls grantmaking program for high school Chester County girls;
- and presents dozens of educational programs and technical assistance workshops to the Greater Philadelphia area.
