WESC Wake-Up Wednesday Call
Join members of the Women's Economic Security Campaign (WESC) on tomorrow's Wake-Up Wednesday Call for an overview of the recently released report Aiming Higher: Removing Barriers to Education, Training and Jobs for Low-Income Women, which highlights new advocacy and engagement tools. We will also be discussing strategies being utilized by women's funds to increase awareness of and investment in efforts to improve economic security for low-income women. Bridge Builder’s Cohort to Explore Innovative Movement Building Strategies
Collaboration is a core component of the Bridge Builders curriculum and peers spend a great deal of time exploring strategies for strengthening visibility and impact of their own organizations as well the broader women’s funding movement. To that end, the Bridge Builder cohort agreed to collaborate around the following strategies to broaden and strengthen the power of the women’s funding movement.
- Exploring and promoting best practices for engaging men in the work of women’s funds and the broader movement.
- Identifying and testing messages for donors around the value add of investing in women's funds.
- Capturing and lifting up the diversity of voices within the women’s funding movement to strengthen inclusion.

Save the Date! 2010 Midwest Regional Convening This Fall
Women’s Funding Network and the Women’s Foundation of Greater Kansas City are hosting a three-day convening for sister funds located in the Midwest region of the United States, Monday, October 25-Wednesday, October 27, 2010.
The convening will include conversations around building strategic partnerships; fundraising approaches; opportunities for strengthening our commitment to advocacy; and, strategies for promoting inclusion within the women’s funding movement.
