Download ‘A Brief History of the Women’s Funding Movement’ for Your Fund!
We are thrilled to announce the launch of a short, motivational film many of you watched at our conference in Denver that gives an historical account of women funding women. The video is a donor cultivation tool that can be uploaded onto your fund's Web site and shared on hand-held mobile devices. In 2011, Chicken & Egg and Great Plains Productions will be available to edit the film so it highlights your own women's fund! For more information, contact the Women Moving Millions Donor Office at (212) 337-3343. Learn more about the film. Watch the film.

Take Action Today on CSEC!
As many as 300,000 American girls are at risk of being commercially sexually exploited every year and the numbers of girls exploited continues to jump every month. The time to move from concern to outrage to action is now. Help pass bi-partisan federal legislation which will provide crucial funding to develop and enhance comprehensive, collaborative efforts to combat the sex trafficking of minors in the United States. S. 2925 “Trafficking Deterrence and Victims Support Act of 2009” was introduced in late 2009 by Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) and H.R. 5575 “Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking Deterrence and Victims Support Act of 2010” was introduced on June 23, 2010 by Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) and Congressman Chris Smith (R-NJ). Read more here. Take action by contacting your legislators in the United States Senate and House of Representatives today! By working together to support this legislation, we can move Congress to act and support what needs to be done on behalf of young girls who survive sex trafficking.
Sign our Boycott Craigslist petition that calls for the site to remove their adult services section that feeds and connects the criminals that buy and sell our girls for sex and spread the word among your social networks.

Watch the WESC Spotlight on Poverty Webcast
What are the challenges facing low-income women during the recession and how should law makers help them overcome the obstacles to accessing education and job training? What strategies are likely to be most effective in helping low-income women move out of poverty and achieve long-term economic security? These questions are the focus of a two-part Spotlight webcast with members of the Women’s Economic Security Campaign (WESC).
The guests examine how low-education attainment and lack of access to transportation, high quality child care and health care coverage are impeding low-income women from moving ahead. The interview explores the need for policymakers to strengthen the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program and the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) to provide greater support for low-income women seeking training and education that will lead to good jobs.
