Genevieve O'Gara

Programs Fellow

After graduating from Davidson College with a BA in Political Science, Genevieve is excited to begin this year as the newest Lutheran Volunteer Corp Programs Fellow. While at Davidson, Genevieve coached a girls’ empowerment running group and was a member of First Responders, a group dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual assault and promoting awareness around campus. She also gained valuable non-profit and outreach experience through internships with National Coalition for the Homeless and Democrats Abroad. 

From all of her experiences, Genevieve discovered a passion for social justice, specifically advocating for women and girls. She cannot wait to utilize this passion through her research, writing, and organizational skills as Programs Fellow with the Women’s Funding Network.
