The Women's Funding Network is proud to sponsor the Women and Poverty section on Spotlight on Poverty and Opportunity, an initiative led by 15 national foundations, to highlight the unique challenges facing low-income women and their families.

Since its launch in October 2007, Spotlight has become a “go to” destination for advocates, congressional staff, state and local government officials, and journalists looking for the latest news and ideas on poverty and opportunity.

Women’s funds are spearheading new strategies to combat poverty by investing in economic opportunities for women. By promoting entrepreneurship, empowering women in asset-building and financial literacy, advocating for better jobs and better pay, and investing in children, they are creating stable ladders for women and families to climb out of poverty.

With more than 150 women's funds worldwide as members, the Women's Funding Network is at the forefront of accelerating women's leadership to solving poverty and strengthening human security by bringing together the financial power, influence and voices of women's funds.
