Development Director, Jeannette Rankin Women’s Scholarship Fund (JRF)

Jeannette Rankin Women’s Scholarship Fund (JRF) seeks a Development Director to grow its scholarship program which empowers low-income women to change their lives through higher education. Named to honor the legacy of Jeannette Rankin, the first woman elected to U.S. Congress, the organization was chartered in 1976 and is among the oldest to focus its program on women ages 35 and older.

To date, 679 women across the U.S. have been awarded more than $1.6 million in scholarships. JRF aims to grow its program to provide opportunities for more women who are often priced out of higher education. JRF seeks an experienced individual to lead the development program, building awareness and support on the national level. Experience in major gifts required; strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills desired.

Applications must be submitted by January 2, 2012. Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume to: development@rankinfoundation.org.
